Drawing and painting have always been an integral part of my life. Growing up visiting my grandfather’s studio, surrounded by the smell of paint and the glorious colours, I knew from a very early age that a place like this was where I belonged. Following in his footsteps I graduated from Glasgow School of Art . My love of colour and texture found residence with Interior Design, a field I worked in for many years before returning to the easel.
The staggering landscape of North East Scotland is now a constant inspiration for my paintings. Preferring to see beyond the realism, I hunt for the architecture using colour and texture, presenting work that invites a contemplation without prejudice.
