Rebekah Middleton achieved a BA(Hons) in Photographic and Electronic Media from Gray’s School of Art in 2008 along with notable awards.
Her focus at that point was installation art which triggered an ongoing fascination with understanding the role of perception and experience in art. Interconnectivity, relativity and representation of reality are all ideas that continue to fascinate her and that run through her work as well as the importance if light in telling a story.
Fueled by a playful love and wonder for the world around her, Middleton has spent the years since art school focused on painting and drawing as a core medium. She now lives in North Aberdeenshire where she is fascinated in portraying the unique light and relationship it has to the landscape around her.
