Although born in Dundee in 1966, Siobhan lived in various places on the East Coast of Scotland and attained a diploma in Mechanical and Production Engineering which took her to a profession in draughting until 1992. From here she traveled extensively with a variety of jobs until 2008 when she returned to Dundee to study art.
Initially attending ‘Dundee College’, she then completed a BA Hons at ‘Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design’, Dundee University in 2014. Not quite finished with studies, Siobhan again graduated from Dundee University in 2016 with an MFA Art & Humanities.
Siobhan is now a self-employed artist based near Aberdeen, producing commissions and working on new pieces for exhibitions and galleries. Space, form and movement are important in her work, which is mainly in stone, although drawing also plays a fundamental part. A sculptor first and foremost, with a preference for using hand tools, nature is her inspiration.
